Fight Club is a good film, but it is not a very good movie. It is just an interesting story and entertaining action scenes. The problem is that it fails to make any sense whatsoever and the plot is completely artificial. The main characters even have different names throughout the movie.
The author of the book, Tyler Durden, has an idea about creating a club to fight the "system". In this movie he fails to realize the fact that his idea can not possibly work. In the end he does not use any of his ideas and only uses quotes from other movies and books, which explain the strange structure.
The scenes in the movie are interesting. One scene shows Mike's power drill. Later it was demonstrated at the opening of the movie. This part of the movie was hilarious.
The director of the movie, Zack Snyder has done a good job in the presentation of the movie. Some scenes look better than others and the set design is adequate. The performance of the actors is also good, though some of them may be in a rush because of the length of the movie.
The way it was shown on the net is really unusual and interesting. You can watch the movie in many different ways and it is easy to find what you are looking for in terms of the special effects. The online movie theatre feature of the movie can be accessed from different locations around the world.
All the scenes were well made, the lighting effects are good and the whole movie is not full of inconsistencies. The actors are at their best and the scenes are exciting and also moving. The club where the movie is shot in is a very nice set that can be really realistic.
The film will surely make you laugh but will not have any depth. You can find some good philosophical ideas but they are all made up. All the special effects do not help.
The movie did not disappoint me because I love action movies but it failed to stand up to the expectations I had when I first saw the trailer. I hope the movie gets a better reception in the theaters.
